Every NBA Team’s 2018-19 Jersey, Officially Ranked

Every NBA team’s jersey will remain the same as last season, but some teams have announced they’ll also be sprinkling in some classic looks next year.

Prior to the 2017-18 NBA season, Nike revealed all the new jerseys that teams would be wearing moving forward. When Nike took over, these jerseys became the best in sports. Unlike other sports, many people wear NBA jerseys for style, besides just wanting to represent their favorite team. And with Nike taking over, it just proves they’re taking over sports, as that’s the second major sport it sponsors.

Many jerseys stayed similar, while others got a huge twist. There was no way Nike was going to come in through and make them all the same as they were before, but some jerseys were either too iconic or difficult to change up. And now, the NBA jerseys look better than ever.

The new jerseys include some of the teams’ sponsors on them. Not every jersey, but some jerseys have a sponsor in the top left corner on their uniform, with the Nike logo being on the top right side of the jersey.

For many of these teams, it gives fans something to purchase. If a team hasn’t acquired for a big-time star in a while, at least they can go purchase the new jerseys that just came out. Plus, they’re made by Nike so who wouldn’t want a new jersey.

It’s hard to say any team really has an “ugly” jersey, but there are definitely jerseys that are nicer than others. We will break down the ugliest shirt in the NBA, all the way down to the nicest. Who knows, after reading this list you may go out and buy yourself one of the new jerseys?

We said every jersey is nice, except maybe one of them. The Milwaukee Bucks jerseys are atrocious. The only jersey that they have that is somewhat nice, are the black jerseys with the Buck on them, but even those don’t look nice enough to wear out.

The plain green jerseys with Milwaukee and the Harley Davidson logo look like high school jerseys.

And why would Harley Davidson choose to sponsor a team where their logo wouldn’t look good on their jerseys? That logo completely kills an already bland jersey.

29: Denver Nuggets

The Denver Nuggets probably have enough jerseys that they could wear one each day of the week. And they aren’t terrible, but they aren’t the most stylish. The jerseys with the Denver skyline and the mountains in the back are cool, but the colors on them are off. The baby blue and black one is really nice, but the rainbow one looks like a pride jersey rather than a NBA jersey. Also, the skyline looks like a Minecraft building, rather than an actual skyline.

28: New Orleans Pelicans

Talk about bland jerseys; there’s nothing unique about the New Orleans Pelicans jerseys. They all come with the same style with the New Orleans or Pelicans across the chest, and a bit of color on the side. They’re not necessarily ugly, there’s just nothing that gets anyone excited about them. You would think in a city with such creativity, that the professional basketball team that plays there can have something unique too. There should have been someone else create this team’s jerseys.

27: Dallas Mavericks

It’s becoming popular for teams to put their city skyline on their jersey, the only thing is no all skylines are really popular.

The Mavericks added the skyline to one of their jerseys, which looks better than the Nuggets, but it’s still nothing special.

The skyline jerseys are the nicest out of them all, even though they aren’t anything too special. The other jerseys are the same from the past. They just seem like an old school style basketball jersey.

26: Sacramento Kings

People could look at the Sacramento Kings jerseys and either love them or despise them. If you’re the type of guy that likes purple you probably like them because it’s a unique color to add to a basketball jersey. If you aren’t a fan, then you’re going to think they’re tacky and ugly.

Purple is unique, but there’s nothing that makes these jerseys any different than a plain jersey. And the other jerseys they have are black. Nothing special going on over here.

25: Houston Rockets

Jesse Johnson-USA TODAY Sports

There are jerseys that are bland and look whatever, and there are other jerseys that are somewhat uninspired but look good. The Houston Rockets jerseys are pretty nice, but nothing special. But with star players like James Harden and Chris Paul, they may be worth buying. And the black and red jerseys are also a cool mix, even if they don’t wear them all the time. These jerseys could be the jerseys of champions in the near future, but time will tell.
